ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the psychological status and the influential factors of postpartum depression in primiparae subjected to cesarean section and provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of postpartum depression in primiparae. Methods:A total of 288 primiparae underwent a psychological status survey in Hangzhou Seventh People's Hospital from January 2016 to January 2020 and were included in this study. We evaluated their psychological status using the Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). The factors that affect postpartum depression were analyzed. Results:The incidence of depression post-cesarean section was 25.00% in primiparae. The scores of SDS and EPDS were (61.23 ± 7.83) points and (12.47 ± 3.14) points in primiparae with a depressive status, which were significantly higher than those in primiparae without a depressive status [(41.39 ± 3.21) points, (8.39 ± 1.22) points, t1 = 15.30, P < 0.001; t2 = 15.87, P < 0.001). Univariate analysis results showed there was a significant difference in postpartum depressive psychological status in terms of maternal education level, family relationship, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship, mental health education, depressive status during pregnancy, intrapartum psychological status, and spouse's education level (all P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis results showed that postpartum depressive status in primiparae was related to family relationships, mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationships, the depressive status during pregnancy, intrapartum psychological status, and spouse's education level are independent risk factors for postpartum depression in primipara after cesarean section ( P < 0.05). Conclusion:The incidence of postpartum depression is high in primiparae subjected to cesarean section. Family relationships and spouse's education level are the influential factors of depression. Family-oriented early psychological intervention should be strengthened to provide more counseling during pregnancy and promote maternal mental health.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the influence of mind map based nursing mode on psychological status and prognosis of patients undergoing thoracoscopic and laparoscopic esophagectomy. Methods:A total of 116 patients who underwent thoracoscopic laparoscopic esophageal cancer resection in Sanya People′s Hospital, Hainan Province from November 2017 to October 2019 were selected. According to the admission time, all patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 58 cases in each group. The patients in the control group used conventional nursing strategies, and the observation group used the method of relying on mind mapping on the basis of conventional strategies to assist nursing intervention. The negative emotions and coping styles of the two groups at admission and discharge, as well as the ICU re-occupancy rate, unplanned extubation rate, and satisfaction with nursing intervention between the two groups were compared. Results:At admission, there was no significant difference in Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) scores between the two groups ( P>0.05). At discharge, the SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were 38.99±5.07 and 37.25±5.59, 43.25±6.49 and 41.26±4.54. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant ( t values were 3.939, 4.241, all P<0.01). At admission, there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of facing, yielding, and avoiding between the two groups ( P>0.05). At discharge, the scores of face, yield, and avoidance of the observation group were 15.47±1.86, 8.92±1.16, 9.05±1.18, and the control group were 13.32±1.60, 11.11±1.56, 12.03±1.56, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant ( t values were -6.674, 8.579, 11.603, all P<0.01). The ICU re-occupancy rate and unplanned extubation rate were 1.72% (1/58) and 3.45% (2/58) in the observation group, and 13.79% (8/58) and 15.52% (9/58) in the control group, the differences were statistically significant ( χ2 values were 4.336, 4.921, all P<0.05). The observation group ′s satisfaction with nursing intervention, communication ability, professional knowledge, and disease mastery scores were 6.81±1.95, 7.02±2.01, 8.12±1.23, and the control group were 5.35±2.11, 5.71±1.87, 6.21±0.99, the differences were statistically significant ( t values were -3.870, -3.634, -9.213, all P<0.001). Presently, while prevalence varies in different parts of the world, dentomaxillofacial anomaly is regarded as a disease of our civilization. Its high rate is related to genetic heterogeneity. These anomalies have a multifactorial etiology since various internal or external factors that cause variability in its presentation are involved. Each of these anomalies has unique characteristics and varying degrees of complexity when being treated. However, they have a common feature: they usually affect the aesthetics and psyche of patients who suffer from them. In order to determine the psychological effects of dentomaxillofacial anomalies in children and adolescents, a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted. It was carried out in two stages and empirical methods were used for collecting information through interview and clinical examination, including Experiential Self-Report to determine the psychological effects in the child or adolescent. Through this study, adolescents were found to be affected psychologically in the presence of anomalies of dental origin.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships between low back pain (LBP) and psychological conditions in university wrestlers.
We examined psychological conditions of seventy male university wrestlers using the Psycholo gical Condition Inventory (PCI) test and evaluated whether psychological conditions have some relationships with LBP. Evaluations of LBP were based on a questionnaire test and the diagnosis of orthopedic surgeons. Based on the LBP evaluation, we assigned all wrestlers into two groups as the LBP group and the non-LBP group.
We obtained the following results. There were twenty-eight university wrestlers (40%) in the LBP group and forty-two wrestlers (60%) in the non-LBP group. Wrestlers in the LBP group showed significantly high values in all factors relating to fatigue in comparison to the non-LBP group.
We conclud that the university wrestlers with LBP feel fatigue in their minds and bodies.
